Traditional Stained Glass Workshop
- Will Burrows
- Autumn 2026
- Workshop
- 10:30am - 2:30pm
- Monday
- 1 Day On 23rd November
- £90
Learn the heritage craft of leaded stained glass, as seen in churches and stately homes throughout the UK.
During this informative and hands-on 4-hour workshop, you will be guided by a professional stained-glass artist and qualified teacher to craft your own stained-glass panel using traditional techniques and tools. Your finished panel will be perfect for display in a window, or alternatively to use as an outdoor garden feature year-round. It will be yours to take home and enjoy the same day.
Working from a paper template, you’ll have a wide range of coloured glass to
choose from for your design. You will be taught how to cut and refine the shape
of glass pieces, how to assemble your work (or “lead up”), and how to solder,
putty and finish your panel ready for display.
Unleash your creativity with a variety of patterns and designs, from
traditional to contemporary. Craft a piece that reflects your own style and
imagination.
No previous experience is required. However, this workshop does require a
reasonable degree of hand dexterity and strength. Due to the use of lead-based
materials in the soldering process, we cannot offer this workshop to pregnant
women or nursing mothers.
All materials provided, please wear old clothes.
