Chinese Brush Painting: Flower and Bird

In this module we will be looking at flowers and birds and the way in which they are represented in Chinese art. We will learn the Xieyi (free style) techniques for representing some of the traditional Chinese flowers and birds and we will look at some of the traditional compositional forms.
This module is suitable for beginners and improvers. If you have attended a session before, please bring your usual equipment. If you haven't tried it, please bring a couple of saucers or mixing palette for mixing colours, 2 jam jars or similar for water and some kitchen towel and you can borrow the equipment to try.
