David Fletcher has been a Fine Art valuer and auctioneer for over 40 years.

He spent 5 years running Sworders Saleroom in Bishops Stortford before joining Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers (now Bonhams), one of the world’s largest Fine Art Auctioneers, for whom he worked for eleven years. In 1999 he returned to his native Bedfordshire where he worked with the legendary Charlie Ross in his Woburn saleroom and jointly oversaw a dramatic increase in turnover.

He now has his own business specialising in valuations for Probate and Insurance purposes and is well known for his light-hearted and amusing talks on antiques. He is BBC Three Counties Radio’s Antiques Expert and was an on-screen expert on ‘Flog It’, BBC TV’s popular day time programme, (until its untimely demise in 2019!)
