David is a regular player at Bedford Chess Club, playing in the Bedfordshire league as well as in various national tournaments. He currently regularly coaches chess at one of the local schools and has formerly been Chair of Northampton Junior Chess Club. Previously, David qualified as a chemical engineer, working for a multinational in several countries.
