Anne Thompson gained a degree in Fine Art from Reading University. Following a period as an illustrator and graphic designer, she ran a business in Devon before obtaining her PGCE and turning to teaching art in secondary schools. Since retiring she has worked for Bedford Borough in Adult and Community Learning  and has run art and craft workshops for adults, children and families. She has also enjoyed many years tutoring art classes for Carers in Bedfordshire.
