The course is for both beginners and more experienced artists. The sessions will begin investigating portrait paintings by well known artists. The more experienced participants will be encouraged to use their own source photographic images. All participants will be supported throughout each session to aid their individual learning.

Participants will need to provide a set of soft pastels (24 colours will be useable) makers such as ‘Inscribe’ or ‘Faber Castel’ are good. A pad of Pastel paper, usually A4 in size and a choice of colours that you like.  I prefer muted colours. A putty rubber/ kneadable eraser. Blending sticks such as paper stumps, make up sponge sticks or cotton buds.
