Over the past century or so the study of human beings has become “siloed” into academic “disciplines” such as individual and social psychology, anthropology, sociology, political science and economics. But should it be? This session will introduce a different approach to understanding human nature as a whole, transcending the unhelpful boundaries of the separate social sciences. We evolved over millennia not as individuals but as small social groups. Understanding that helps make sense of where we are now.
