The Greek World saw arguably the most dynamic moments of artistic creation in Western history. This course will explore Greek Art from its earliest conception in the so-called ‘Dark Ages’ to the death of Alexander the Great, focusing on its sculpture, painting, pottery and architecture, and the developments that laid the foundations of Western artistic expression. This course (COVID dependent) will also involve a rare opportunity to handle authentic ancient objects.
