C. S. Lewis is probably best known as the author of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. It is a novel with a very strong Christian message. Lewis expounds his view of God in ‘Mere Christianity’.

We will be reading that book and his novel ‘The Great Divorce’ which complements ‘Mere Christianity’ and is a precursor of the famous Narnia novel. Lewis also uses the novel to attack the work of William Blake, so there’ll be plenty to talk about.

Students should buy their own copies of the books prior to the course.
