This course is a journey through the landscape of Britain and its 6000 islands. We will look at how natural phenomena such as geology, climate and natural forces such as rivers, glaciers and the sea have shaped the land. Just as important is how people have interacted with the land and understand that what we may think of as ’natural’ is fashioned by human action.
