Western philosophy begins with the ancient Greeks in the 6th century BCE.
It is traditionally divided into 3 periods: Ancient Greek; Medieval; Modern.
This course considers (principally) the ancient Greek period.
It considers some of the key elements in thought of some the most important philosophers of this period: the pre-Socratics, Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.
