Festive fun at Stowe Gardens in December
Explore 11 locations across the garden for the ’12 Days Of Christmas Garden Trail’ with displays of wreaths, kissing boughs and foliage designs reflecting different aspects of Christmas traditions that still resonate today such as carol singing, family get togethers, games, gifts and even panto! The twelfth and finale of all the displays will be at The Temple of Concord and Victory where the huge interior will be filled by a decorated feasting table. Created with foliage from the gardens at Stowe and other found objects, this elaborate display will feature lights, drama and the Twelfth Night king and queen.
The historic Parlour Rooms will be filled with the warmth and chatter of local artisans, artists and hand-made food producers. There is also the recently opened Dairy Bookshop selling second-hand books plus the National Trust Shop full of beautiful and inspirational Christmas gifts.
Join us for the starting with a hot drink and mince pie on arrival. As well as the garden trail there will be Christmas shopping in the Parlour rooms which includes the new second hand book shop, and there is also the National Trust shop full of beautiful gifts. The day will end at 3.00pm when we will re-board the coach to head back to Bedford. £42.00pp members, £48.00pp member’s guests (after 18th November).
