"If you want to venture beyond just taking snaps with your camera, this course will help you to take more interesting and varied photographs. Each session will include a short talk discussing aspects of photographic techniques, followed by a chance to take some photographs inside or, weather permitting, outside the Centre. You will then edit your pictures on a laptop computer, which you will need to provide, along with your own camera. Please make sure they are both fully charged. We will be using the free photo editing software, Gimp, which can be downloaded from www.gimp.org. If you need help installing Gimp, this will be given during the first session."

Tutor: Colin Matthews

"Colin Matthews taught ICT in middle schools for seventeen years and was Head of Computing at Goldington Academy for twelve of those until his retirement in 2016. As well as teaching the National Curriculum, Colin provided in-service training for fellow teachers and particularly enjoyed working with staff who lacked confidence in their ICT skills but had the desire to learn more.
