William Blake: Jenny Morris

"Tate Britain is presenting an exhibition from September 2019 – February 2020 entitled: ‘A new look at the visionary printmaker, poet and painter’. This course is intended as preparation for a visit to that exhibition, or follow up for those who have already been to it, or perhaps a substitute for those who are interested in Blake’s work, but are unable to go to the exhibition. Tate Britain comment that ‘William Blake is a universal artist – an inspiration to visual artists, musicians, poets and performers worldwide. His personal struggles in a period of political terror and oppression, his technical innovation, his vision and political commitment, have perhaps never been more pertinent.’ These are the themes we shall discuss together."
