Silver Jewellery: Kathy Taylor

"Over 4 weeks you will design and make your own creations - pendants, earrings, bracelets, bangles, charms and rings. You will design each piece and cut, prepare, texturise and solder your pieces. You will learn how to work with and prepare metal, texture and stamp metal, prepare your design and then create it under supervision. No previous experience is needed. After each workshop, your pieces will be taken back to the Tutor’s workshop to be polished and will be available the following week. The price includes full use of equipment. Materials, such as silver, will be charged at cost and payment should be made in cash (or card payment if over £5.00) at the start of each class. E.g. materials for a pair of Sterling silver rings or a pendant measuring about 1"" square will be c.£8.00. You will need to wear shoes which cover your feet (no sandals or ballet-style pumps) and tie back long hair. It is advisable to wear natural fibres and bring a cotton or linen apron to protect your clothes, and a notebook and pen/pencil."
