Mindfulness: Cheryl Green

"Mindfulness means “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally.” There is much research supporting the benefits of mindfulness and meditation, among them: Encouraging deep relaxation and feelings of peace; Focusing the mind and promoting sleep; Increasing concentration; Enhancing creativity and opening the mind to new ideas and reducing stress and anxiety. The course will cover:- The background of Mindfulness and how it can help our well being; The power of observation and the importance of compassion particularly self-compassion. We will learn and practise Mindfulness techniques and how to apply them to your daily life."
