Russian History from World War 1 to Present Day: Steve Lowe

"We will look at the causes of the revolution to the revolution itself, and where it started to go wrong. Then we will look at the era of Stalin and the tensions between the wars, then World War 2, when the Soviet Union and USA and Britain were allies. We shall chart the beginnings and deepening of the Cold War, up to the thawing between Gorbachev and the West, then the collapse of the Soviet Union and the rise of the new rich. Finally, we shall chart the rise of Putin and how Russia is faring under his leadership."
