Latin Readers (12.30-1.30) : Jenny Morris

"These sessions are for those who would like to read authentic Latin texts, but with quite a lot of assistance with grammar, idiom, vocab., style and points of background. We usually work on some prose and some verse each week, and texts are prepared by the tutor, so nothing is needed except perhaps a dictionary and basic grammar reference book (or the equivalents on a tablet). A little preparation or follow up between classes is encouraged but by no means compulsory. At each session a short presentation or video clip is shown on aspects of the texts we have been working on. It is anticipated that most participants will have reached GCSE or the equivalent level of Latin or beyond, but perhaps not recently. Any student who would like a little more information about the classes and the level of Latin expected are welcome to contact the tutor:"
