Memoir Writing: Bente de Grey

"This is a course on how to write your memoir or a biography: how to get started, the planning stage and the structure of your memoir. You will be introduced to the writing tools you need to create your life story. Individual help is available for beginners. Each week the class shares their writing and receives positive feedback. It is a friendly atmosphere with lots of interaction and encouragement from the tutor as well as the class members.  Suitable for both beginners and those with previous experience."

Tutor: Bente de Grey

"Bente de Grey is a local writer who has published both feature articles and fiction. Last year she completed a novel for youn adults, which is currently being considered for publication. After a degree in librarianship from Oslo University, Bente moved to Scotland where she worked as a research librarian. Following a career in librarianship and editing Bente returned to university (Luton) and obtained a first class honours degree and an MA in Creative Writing. For the last 10 years, she has led writing courses for writers’ groups and at the REC. "
