Creative Writing: Bente de Grey

"After another year of exploring the classic short story we will continue to read and discuss a short story each week and then look in depth at the writing techniques used and the author’s writing style. This method of improving one’s writing works very well. Writers will include Ernest Hemingway, Katherine Mansfield, Daphne du Maurier, Julian Barnes, John Cheever, Jean Rhys just to mention a few. For those new to creative writing there will be an introduction to the tools needed to enhance their writing skills. There will also be an opportunity for the experienced writers to focus on their own writing projects.  Sharing and critiquing of your work, be it short stories or a novel, takes place every week in a positive way. It's a friendly, lively and interactive class suitable for both beginners and experienced writers. Several of the class members have now been published and won prozes, which is a great achievement."
